Benefits of Agronomic Monitoring
-
Optimise Irrigation Timing
Know exactly when soil is above, within, or below the refill point.
-
Protect Nutrient Performance & Improve Pasture Growth
Monitoring soil temperature to ensure conditions support plant uptake.
-
Stay Compliant
Stay compliant with automated, accurate data for reporting and auditing.
Real-time Soil Moisture & Temperature Insights
Support smarter irrigation, effluent management, and pasture growth
Soil Temperature & Conditions
Monitor and view real-time soil moisture & temperature from your phone or desktop. Receive alerts & set thresholds for low moisture, over-saturation, or temperature conditions
Multi-Depth Measurement
4-level sensors to 40 cm for accurate root-zone visibility. Check soil moisture at and below the root zone to check on drainage and optimise decisions around maintaining plant growth.

Tough Technology Built to Last
- Power — 7–10 years battery life; LiPo rechargeable with a small solar panel
- Solenoid — 9V boost circuit to drive Baccara G75 3 Way NO 9Vdc 4 Ohm coil (WSP catalogue BA9VDCL3NO)
- Enclosure — IP67 tested, UV-resistant ASA plastic; −30 °C to +60 °C; supplied with pigtail for clean wiring.
- Status & telemetry — regular updates on battery, applied schedule, operating/standby state, and error/maintenance conditions (e.g., solenoid disconnected, sprinkler arm not turning).
World Leading Connectivity & Platform
- Long-range LoRaWAN® connectivity; typical rural reach up to ~5–10 km line-of-sight (base-station and topography dependent).
- Autonomous controllers — devices operate continuously and apply schedules even if the network is briefly unavailable; they check in periodically (e.g., ~15 minutes).
- Cloud software — scalable backend with web and mobile access for live views, programs, alerts, and maintenance messages.
All-in-One Water Management Platform
- Cloud backend with web and mobile access (Apple & Android).
- Multiple networks/sub-networks: Map your water networks to reflect the farm layout.
- Data for decision-making: Compare usage patterns across seasons or blocks to target maintenance and investment.
- Part of a broader platform: Irrigation Control module works seamlessly alongside our Water Management and Effluent Monitoring modules.
Proven, Flexible & Supported
- Proven at scale — more than 10,000 devices already installed on farms across NZ.
- Scalable to your needs — from small 10-sprinkler systems to operations with 1,000+, with straightforward expansion paths.
- Backed by experts — installed and supported by your local irrigation partner with technical specialists only a phone call away.
How It Works Under the Hood
- Each controller powers a magnetic latch solenoid on/off and can hold up to six schedules at any time.
- Downlink commands let you apply/enable/disable programs and turn on/off now; link parameters are configurable.
- Regular messages report “alive” status, battery, current schedule numbers, operating state, and maintenance/error notifications.
